Principal business leader and product owner of SkillsEngine, a skills-based workforce analysis and labor market alignment platform. SkillsEngine is a commercial startup venture born from the Center for Employability Outcomes (C4EO) at Texas State Technical College (TSTC) — the only public US college funded based on student career outcomes.

My role: Principal business leader and product owner leading 0 to 1 development, design, strategy, and GTM for commercial startup venture developed from college IP.

First of its kind skills data platform for workforce analysis and labor market alignment.

Outcomes

• Successfully led pivot of business and product strategy from custom solutions, to B2B platform data
• Rebuilt team to 10-15 engineers, designers, and PMs
• Personally developed early MVP prototypes and proofs of concept for key AI features including text-to-skills converstion, gap analysis, description generation, career pathway mapping, and more.
• Led the creation of a first-of-it’s-kind skills based workforce analysis and labor market alignment platform.
